AI providers charge by how much text the AI reads and writes, counted in “tokens” (about ¾ of a word each). Prices vary a lot by model; your provider shows them up front.

About pricing

Why does every plan include every feature?
Founders shouldn't have to upgrade to unlock the good parts. The only difference between plans is how many people use Orcabase.
What counts as a person?
Anyone you invite into your Orcabase workspace. Up to 5 people is Starter, up to 10 is Team. Beyond that, let's talk.
Do I need data hosting?
No. On every plan you can connect the database you already have and upload spreadsheets. Add hosting when you'd rather Orcabase keep your data for you.
How is data hosting priced?
By how much data Orcabase keeps for you. Pick the tier that fits and move up as you grow. Need more than 200 GB? Get in touch.
Why isn't AI usage included in the price?
So you never pay twice. With your own OpenRouter or Vercel AI Gateway key, you pay the AI provider directly, at their price. Orcabase doesn't resell AI, so there's no markup and no “AI credits” to run out of.
How much will AI cost us?
It depends on the model you pick and how much you ask. Every conversation shows its cost, so you'll know within a week. Use a cheaper model for everyday questions and a stronger one for hard problems.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. There's no lock-in: export your data anytime.
Can we change plans later?
Yes. Move up when the team grows, or down if it shrinks. Your dashboards, metrics and data sources stay where they are.
