Which coffees will run out in the next two weeks?

Reading your Airtable data…

Two coffees run out within 14 days: Ethiopia Guji and the house decaf.

  • Guji has 9 days left at August’s pace.
  • Decaf has 12 days; its sales doubled since the cold brew launch.
  • Everything else covers at least five weeks.

Days of stock left

How I got this· 4 steps
  1. Read the Stock table in your Airtable base
  2. Averaged each coffee’s daily sales from August orders
  3. Divided stock on hand by daily sales
  4. Flagged anything under 14 days

In plain words

Can I build reports across Airtable bases?

Yes. Airtable is great for running a process and awkward to report across. Fivetran copies the bases you pick into a database Orcabase hosts for you, and keeps the copy up to date.

Then you ask in plain words, across bases, and next to your store or payments data, and get the answer with a chart.

Ask in plain words

What you can ask about your Airtable data

The agent answers with the number, a chart and the steps it took. Keep the good answers on a dashboard.

  • Which items are running low?

  • How many orders did each wholesale partner place this quarter?

  • Which projects are overdue, and who owns them?

  • How many posts did we publish each month?

  • Which purchase orders are still open?

  • Which suppliers deliver late most often?

  • How many candidates reached an interview this month?

  • Show me records added per week, by base.

What comes in

Your Airtable data, ready to ask about.

A copy in a database Orcabase hosts for you, with its own folder for each app.

01

The bases you pick

Choose bases or whole workspaces when you sign in. Each base keeps its own folder, so names never clash.
02

Every field

Text, numbers, dates, single and multiple selects, and the rest.
03

Linked records

Links between records come along, so you can follow a purchase order to its supplier.
04

Only what you pick

Leave tables out and they cost nothing from your allowance.

Numbers worth defining

Define them once. Every answer agrees.

Tell Orcabase what each number means, certify it, and your dashboards, the agent and your whole team use the same one. The agent can draft these from your Airtable data.

How metrics work

  • Days of stock

Stock on hand divided by average daily sales.

  • On-time delivery

Share of purchase orders that arrived by their due date.

  • Open items

Records not yet marked done, by owner or status.

  • Throughput

Records moved to done each week.

Dashboards to start with

Your Airtable numbers at a glance.

Ask the agent to build one of these, or pin charts yourself. Share any dashboard with a link.

Questions

About Airtable and Orcabase

More in the docs: Sync apps with Fivetran

Does each base come in separately?
Yes. Each base gets its own folder in your database, named after the base, so two tables called “Orders” in different bases don’t clash.
Can Orcabase change my Airtable data?
No. Fivetran only reads from Airtable, and Orcabase only reads the synced copy.
Do I need a Fivetran account?
No. Orcabase uses its own. You sign in to Airtable on Fivetran’s page, and the data lands in a database Orcabase hosts for you, so there’s nothing else to set up or pay Fivetran for.
How fresh is my Airtable data in Orcabase?
Fivetran syncs it every 6 hours as standard, and an admin can run a sync by hand at any time. The page for each source shows when it last synced and when it syncs next.
What does syncing cost?
Counts toward your monthly sync allowance: 500,000 changed rows a month, as standard. Each distinct row that’s added or changed in a month counts once, however often it changes, and the first full copy is free. You choose which tables sync, so you only spend the allowance on what you need.
